I have been thinking over the last week or so about authenticity and being true to yourself.
Why? Maybe it’s because I finally plucked up the courage to have the tattoo I have been thinking about for 6 years…
Not that big a deal, perhaps, loads of people have them these days. Most people will remain completely unaware that this is now part of who I am so it won’t even register. Or frankly they probably won’t even care.
But it got me thinking about how important it is for me to bring my true self to all aspects of my life every day – whether that be in work or my personal life. I am lucky that I run my own business with the amazing Emily and although we know what it is to be professional, we can still express ourselves within that and I’d like to think that our down-to-earth, approachable, honest attitude is what drives our success as well as our technical knowledge and expertise.
I am a strong believer in ‘you attract what you project’ and being true to yourself every day means that you will always be surrounded by people who understand you and reflect your values – whether that is colleagues, clients or friends. What could be better than that?
